Family members are holding private memorial services today for a key figure in the Mid Ohio Valley controversy over the manufacturing chemical known as C8.
Wilbur Earl Tennant passed away suddenly at his Washington, WV home on Friday at the age of 67.
Tennant and his two brothers and their wives began searching for answers in the early 1980s after losing an entire herd of cattle to a mysterious wasting disease. Later they discovered that DuPont was using an adjacent lot as landfill for C8 and other substances leftover from production.
It was their investigation that launched the first class action lawsuit against DuPont over the presence of C8 in local water supplies.

Hello Callie:
My husband Winston "Stony" Tennant and I were on an RV trip this Sept. and found Earl Tennant's name on Park site in Lolo, MT. You mentioned his brothers. We are looking into Stony's ancestor.
I also have a blog but not like yours.
Laura Tennant
